2001 Final Standings
Bob peaked at the right time--he moved into a tie for 1st place in Week #16 and he held on to that lead to win the 2001 pool.  Bob never gave up, and after
finishing 9th and 14th in the first two sprints, he started to chip away at those in front of him, winning two of the weeks during sprint #3 and scoring well in all
the other weeks, his prosperity paralleling that of his beloved Patriots.  Scott H. placed 2nd, giving up the lead in the final week of the season for the second
year in a row, as he proves himself to be the most consistently successful player in this pool, year-in and year-out, but unable to land the big one.  Brian
and Gary tied for 3rd place, just 8 points away from the top.  They met coming from different backgrounds--Brian had been in 1st place for seven of the first
nine weeks of the pool while Gary had been coming on strong lately, winning two of the weeks in sprint #3.  Brent had the most weekly wins, grabbed
toward the early part of the season when he had things figured out better, and Kathy had the highest weekly score of the year, a 115 in lucky Week #13.
Brian had the best W-L record this year, and was the only top finisher to not secure a weekly win along the way.
I've added a column to the standings to show your position in the final standings from last year's pool as well.  Bob improved quite a bit from his
next-to-last finish in 2000, giving us all hope for next year, but Phil, ouch!
